What is Call Recorder?

Call Recorder is an application that records your outgoing calls and saves the recording directly on your phone.

How does Call Recorder work?

Call Recorder uses VOIP (Voice Over IP) to make the call so the call is made via the internet and not from your phone sim. The call is recorded and saved on your phone only.

Which device are supported?

All IOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) and android devices that have an internet connection are supported so you can make a real call from your iPad without needing to have a contract with a mobile operator.

How to record a call?

+ Outgoing call: Call Recorder - IntCall is very easy to use: just like your phone dialer, you just make a call from the app and it will be recorded.

  + Incoming call: If you are already on a call using the iPhone standard dialer, start recording by opening the app and clicking on the Record button. The app will then call your phone and you need to click ‘Hold & Accept' and then merge the calls.

The recorded calls appear in the app’s Recording tab.

How can I transfer the recording to my computer?

The app saves the recorded file to your phone and your phone only and there is no backup on the app's server. Therefore it's very important to backup your recordings.

There are four ways to transfer your recordings to your computer:

1. Send the recordings by email - at the recording tab press a recording and press email. Note that many email programs have attachment size limits, for example gmail is limited to 25MB attachment size which is more or less 25 minutes audio.

2. Sync your recordings to your computer with iTunes:
- Connect your device to the computer and open iTunes.
- Click on your device (on the left)
- Click on Apps (top), then scroll down to File Sharing and click on Call Recorder. Then you should see your recorded files on the right and copy then to your computer.

3. Use a desktop software such as iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) that enables you to copy files from your iPhone to your computer via a USB cable. Install the utility on your computer, connect your iPhone with USB and look for 'Call Recorder/Documents' folder.

4. Export (see next question).

How can I export the recording to DropBox, Google drive, WhatsApp and Evernote?

At the recording tab select a recording then press Export. The app will show a screen with all the apps installed on your phone that support exporting of recorded files such as DropBox, Google drive, WhatsApp and Evernote. Select an app and your file will start uploading.

How can I mark important sections in the call?

During the phone call, if you know something important is about to happen click on the Tag button on the conversation screen and a tag will be added to the call marking the current time.

When you listen to a recording you see the tags that you added during the call on top of the audio slider. You can also add new tags by clicking the Tag button in the Play screen or remove a tag by clicking on it.

If you email the recording those tags will automatically appear in the email text (for example, 'Tag at: 35:02').

I am getting bad audio quality, how I can fix it?

The audio quality depends mostly on the quality of your internet connection. If your internet connection bandwidth is good and the connection is reliable, then you should experience audio quality similar to the audio quality of a regular phone call.

In addition, the audio quality depends on the specific model and manufacturer of your phone (most notably for Android phones). We give you some free credit as a new customer so you can experiment with our service and check if you are satisfied with the audio quality using your phone.

How do I register to the Call Recorder service?

You register to Call Recorder by installing the app and entering your phone number in the registration screen.

Which countries are supported?

Almost all countries in the world are supported. Check our price list to see the calling prices - a country that does not appear in the price list is not supported.

Are short/special numbers supported?

Unfortunately short and special number are not supported because the calls are made internationally. Special premium numbers are not supported as well. Toll free numbers are supported in some countries.

Why do I need to buy credit?

Call Recorder uses VoIP to make the call so the calls termination and cost are done by our server (you will not see the calls on your phone bill).

How can I test the app before buying credit?

When installing Call recorder for the first time you get some free credit to experiment with the app. You can also try the free Test Call to experiment with the app.

Why i did not get free credit?

How can i add credit to my balance?

You can buy more credit at the account tab - simply press buy and buy credit using Apple In App Purchase. In addition you can buy credit from our site: http://www.intcall.info/callrec.

How much does a call cost?

The call cost are determined by the destination country and carrier you can check our rates at the account tab price list.

Do I get charged for the calls I make?

You are not getting charge by your mobile operator and the calls will not appear in your phone bill, but since we are paying for the calls we will deduct the call cost from your credit balance. Check our price list at the account tab.

I bought credit but I do not see it in my balance, why?

That can happen if we do not get the transaction from Apple (mostly because of internet connection). In this case please send us an email from the app (About=>email support) and attach Apple email receipt and any other details your have (date/time and amount bought).

I can not hear the other person or he can not hear me, why?

iOS7: first check in the iPhone settings 'Privacy', 'Microphone' that Call recorder is enabled.
Other iOS: one or no audio problems can happen for two reasons:
1. Poor internet connection
2. A firewall is blocking VOIP calls

The solution is to try to connect to a different internet connection (3g/wifi) that does not have a firewall and have a stable connection.
Note: Some countries (for example UAE) blocks VOIP calls all together.

I get an registration error - what can I do?

Registration error can happen for two reasons:
1. Poor internet connection
2. A firewall is blocking VOIP calls

The solution is to try to connect to a different internet connection (3g/wifi) that does not have a firewall and have a stable connection.
Then Close the app from the task manager (double click on the home button) and reopen it.

When I make a call I get a message "the number is not available"

Try checking the number that you dialed (it should include country code, area code and the number like calling the number internationally) and dial again.
If the number is correct and the problem continues please email us from the app and write the number that you are trying to call and we will fix the problem.

Where are my recording stored?

Your recorded files are saved on your device (phone) only. From the Recordings tab you can see the list of files, play them, send them as email attachments and delete them.

Who can listen to my recordings and what about privacy and security?

All the recordings are stored on your phone and your phone only. No one can access the recordings unless they have your phone.
Note: If you delete the app you will also delete all your recordings so make sure you backup your important calls.
